Alex's many adventures

It's been a crazy week full of adventures and firsts for Alex. A few include....

his first movie Horton Hears a Who

My friend Mollie and I took our little ones to the MOMs movie. We had a great time after a rough start ;) jk Mollie. Alex did very well until the very end and then he just wanted to crawl around on the first floor and being the mean mother that I am I wasn't about to let him.

We also went to the park and enjoyed swinging on the swing set, no camera that time. I will go again soon I am sure.

Jason and I went to the baby day expo on Saturday and entered
Alex into the diaper derby. Don't you love the B98.7 across his tush.

This picture was taken before it started when he was practicing his crawl and doing an awesome job. Jason put his bottle at the finish line and off he went before he stopped to look around and a little red head girl decided to crawl on top of his back. He just stayed there all calm while everyone laughed. Next thing I know it's over. =*( Oh well at least we know the girls like him. We also entered him into a cute baby contest but that won't be announced until the end of the week and I don't have any pictures to post from it yet.

This is how Jason found Alex sleeping this week. Gotta love the bum in the air.

We finally broke out the Tonka Truck Alex got for Christmas from Grandma and Grandpa OwYoung. Alex loves to be pushed around while he honks the horn.

Lastly Alex has been getting up a few in the middle of the night lately not to eat but because he as wiggled out of his blankets. We gave in and bought him a sleep sack. It seemed to do the trick last night hopefully it will continue to work. A mom really needs her sleep. It was a fun filled crazy busy week. Alex is almost 11 months. His first birthday will be here before long. Anyone have some great ideas for a theme? I've never hosted a one year old birthday party.

Let's cross our fingers that we won't get more snow. AGGG !!! Is it really suppose to snow in March? I am going to lay low tomorrow ( I pulled a muscle in my back and it's killing me) and get my niece Jillian's Wedding Album done. Her wedding is less than two weeks away. I am cutting it really close. Hope you have a great April Fool's Day, maybe I will post a pregnancy announcement. Wouldn't that be a great joke?

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone! It was sure nice to get out this weekend and enjoy the sunshine. I know many of you will think man she takes allot of photos but remember he is my first and pretty dang cute at that. Our Easter weekend photos...
Saturday we went to our local Easter egg hunt with some friends. They also had face painting, bounce houses, clowns making balloon toys, a real fire engine and the Easter Bunny himself with a few of his friends. Afterwards we enjoyed some bagels at Einsteins before retiring home for a much needed nap. Later that night we went to Rib City for dinner. It was our first time there but it was very good food with excellent service so we will be back for sure.

Dad helped Alex get a few eggs and candy. None of which he could eat or was worth us eating but fun none the less.

Mom and Alex at the Easter egg hunt

Standing all by himself

Alex looked so small compared to the big red fire engine

Try not to pay attention to me falling over at the end of the video =)

Alex loved his balloon sword the clown made him

We took a picture with the Easter bunny but his eyes were crooked and the picture was horrible so you get to see his friend the strange looking horse instead.

Sunday we went to my mom's house for family dinner and a Easter egg hunt for Shae and Alex.

Checking out our goodies

Shae found some bubbles left behind by the Easter bunny

Alex hanging with Uncle Mike

Not a fan of his sunglasses

Alex also received his third hair cut from Aunt Kim.

We tried to let Alex crawl to a few eggs but he wasn't a fan of the grass. It shouldn't be funny but we kept cracking up at his response.

Happy Easter!

One Crazy Child!

What a nut!! Alex has kept us on our toes this week with his adventurous nature. He is into anything and everything. Today he pulled himself up using his swing and stood there for a few minutes. I don't see it being too long before he is walking. Looking forward to a spring like weekend complete with Alex's first Easter. Have a good one!

Here are a few fun pictures from this week.

Crazy Alex after eating a biscuit. Man those things are messy!
Check out that not so white t-shirt.

A face only a mother could love!

Not sure you can tell by this picture but Alex fell asleep today sitting up laying against the crib railing. What a child!

Happy St. Patty's Day!

What a lucky day! I met my honey 8 years ago today. It was crazy how instantly I felt we were meant to be. I thought for sure he was too good to be true. Eight years later he is still my best friend by my side through thick and thin and to celebrate this year our luck has added Alex. I truly feel blessed beyond words. Happy St. Patty's Day Jas, I love you! SYFAE

This picture was taken in Moab a month before our wedding. I kept reminding our friend Nate to drive careful because we had a wedding to attend in a month.

We were a month pregnant here and didn't even know it. I know I have posted this picture before but it's one of my favorites. It was taken at our friends Heidi and Howard's wedding in Cali.

10 months today!

My baby is 10 months old today. Man time flies!!

It has been a crazy week with me prepping for another Stamp a Stack card class on Thursday at my friend Elicia's house ( thanks Leash). Friday we had our carpets cleaned on the main level and my stamp room. They really needed them but it was official after the red gum that was left behind from my class last week. =( They look great now. Today I headed up to my Aunt Sheila's cabin in Eden to throw my oldest niece Jillian a bridal shower. She is getting married April 11th, around the corner. It's been a snowy March day but Alex was an angel so it was all good. Here are a few pictures ( okay more than a few I am a first time mother, forgive me) from today.

Sorry a little blury, he wouldn't hold still but he loved to smile. It's nice that he will finally do more than just stare at the camera. If you can't tell I had a hard time choosing just a few to post.

Here is my niece Jillian ( on the left) with Alex and her maid of honor Andrea at the shower today. Alex loves the pretty girls.

After we got home Alex throw up and had to be changed again. Any guesses on who dresses him in a white/green top, blue stripped pants and red socks? He must of known the red wasn't looking so hot because he took them right off. He pulled himself up to see me. I don't think it will be long before he is walking.

For Grandma

So this post is for my Mom. She gave me an outfit she fixed up that one of my two brothers ( she isn't 100% sure which one) used to wear. I have been meaning to take pictures for her and haven't. Jason thinks it makes Alex looks like a girl but I think he just isn't used to the old fashioned look. It's been a busy stressful week. More posts this weekend, hopefully!

Anyway these pictures are for you Mom, Enjoy!

Look at those cute little legs

It didn't stay on long as it's made from Acrylic and is itchy, Alex had red spots from wearing it. He must be strange like his Mom.

I also had to share this picture from yesterday. I had to show off Alex's two toothins' Not sure if you can see the small scratches all over his face from a hang nail oh and the leftover yogurt trail.

What's been happening at our house

We have been quite busy this week with Alex crawling, my cousin Heather & Justin having their baby girl ( CONGRATS) and trying to prep for my two Stamp-a-Stack classes.

Like I said Alex is crawling everywhere and getting into everything. He seems to be lured to what he isn't supposed to be getting into like the garbage can. Unfortunately yesterday he made it to the front steps before I could get there and tumbled two steps to the first landing. It scared him pretty bad but didn't hurt him. I hope he will stay away from them now.
I need to get busy but thought I would share a few pictures with you that I took today before I go.
Why do pooping pictures always put a smile on my face?
Alex had only slept for an hour and then was up playing but since he was being good I let him be while I got ready for the day. Here is what I found when I went to get him from his nap. He was swaddled and facing a different direction when he went down for his nap. I guess he played a little too long. Sweet boy!

Let's Clap

I know I am a little on the crazy side when it comes to Alex's firsts but he is so dang cute I can't help it. In just a weeks time he has learned to crawl like crazy and loves to explore. Today he learned how to clap and yes I had to grab the camera again.

On a side note I recieved an award this weekend from Emily called the "You make my day" award. How sweet is that? :) I know I need to pay it forward and I will soon I promise. Thanks Emily for making my day.

After many days of sunshine we recieved snow again tonight. Not enough to stay around but a crazy little storm for a while at least. I believe it is supposed to storm again tomorrow. Blah.. I was just getting used to this spring idea.

I thought I was getting over this cold but it seems to have just moved to another part of my body. YUCK!! I better get over it soon as I still have ALOT to do to prep for my two Stamp-a-Stack card classes. Off to prep...
