The Cat came back... or wait was it the bird?

Yup you heard me right. The Cat ( bird) came back the very next day, we thought he was a goner but the cat ( bird) came back.....

Looks like Jason will have to block the holes until this Utah weather officially decides it's spring and gets too hot for our BBQ to be a birdhouse. p.s. It sucks to be old, more details to come!

BBQ anyone?

Anyone in the mood for BBQ....

bird perhaps?

Yup that's right... a bird nest in our BBQ. Jason cleaned out a small one a few weeks ago and thought nothing of it until last night. He said as he went outside to put dinner on the BBQ he could see that the birds were back. Man was he right. Check out this thing. He did some clean up but we decided to bag BBQing last night.
Note to Birds- Please find a new home, the weather is getting warm and we would like to BBQ... pork, beef or chicken but no birds please.

23 months old

It's crazy to think that my little boy is almost two. He is changing so much lately that it's hard to keep track of what's new and what's old. He is talking up a storm. Here are some recent pictures I love. I had to include the pictures of him wrapped in his ducky towel. His new thing after taking a bath is to say baby. This is his way of asking to be wrapped up and cuddled like a baby. It's a fun minute to reflect on big he is getting and how much I miss him being a baby.

Alex loves books whether we are reading to him or he is reading to Ryker his bear.

Wait, did I hear a car?

Our baby Alex
I am posting this a bit late as it's been a crazy month. Nice to have a back post date button =) Only a few weeks before the big day. I am trying to figure out birthday party ideas. Just waiting for some pictures to come back before I make the invites. Anyone have grand ideas for a family two year old party?

Easter

Finally caught up on my blog posting ( see my multiple posts below). Jason had an extra long weekend off we we stayed busy going bowling, shopping, spending time with family/friends and laying low at home.
We had a nice Easter mostly spent just hanging at home as a family. We got Alex a few things for Easter but decided at this age we could really just go low key. Later that day we went to Easter Dinner at my Aunt Sheila's house and celebrated my cousin's little boy Asher's fourth birthday. What a beautiful day if only this week's weather looked as nice. Hope you had a Happy Easter!

Baby Animal Days

Friday we were able to go up Wellsville to the Baby Animal Days. It was a nice day weather wise and fun to spend time with my family. Alex was a little hesitant with the animals when they got too close but otherwise he seems to like it.

Alex with the Easter Bunny. This was after Daddy came to the rescue.

He did not like the big pink bunny.

Living for Eden

It's not often that I get a couple hours to just sit and reflect on my life. Last minute Natalie and I were able to go to the Living for Eden concert. It was emotionally draining yet uplifting at the same time. The music was incredible!!! I just enjoyed the music while thinking about life in general. Sadly sometimes it takes events like these for me to really be grateful for what I have. If you have a minute check out my Living for Eden link to see more about Paul Cardall and photographs from the concert. Thanks Nat for standing in line for hours on end for tickets.... I owe you big time.

Ryklyn

My niece Jillian, great niece Ryklyn and her BF Andrea came down yesterday to work on Andrea's baby shower invites. While they were here we decided we would also make some flowers for headbands for Andrea's new little girl. As great as it was to see the girls I have to say Ryklyn stole the show. Poor little girl didn't want to nap in Alex' s crib so here is what happened.

Isn't she just precious?
Alex loved showing off for his cousin Ryklyn and playing with Mom's hat.

He wouldn't hold still so I could take a picture of him.

P.S. thanks for all the sweet comments about my hair. I am loving it short.
